Modern trends in photography, which emerged world-wide in the 1920s and 1930s, developed by focusing on the mechanical properties of the camera, lends, and photosensitive materials. Photographers were not imitating paintings but focused on achieving a mode of expression possible only through photography. This exhibition presents a variety of styles by wide range of photographs, from the nineteenth century until the present. All are from invaluable TMMP Collections.
