A Word about Temperature in the Museum
Recently we have received comments from some visitors that the exhibition galleries feel cold.
In order to preserve the works on exhibit in good condition, we have to keep the environment
inside the galleries at an even temperature and humidity throughout the year. At the same time,
in order to save energy for the sake of the environment, we need to keep the temperature
in the areas outside the galleries set at 28°C. The difference in temperature and humidity
upon entering the gallery may cause you to feel cold, so you may wish to bring a sweater
or jacket with you when you visit.
We appreciate your understanding as we try to preserve these works of art so they may be
enjoyed by future generations even 50 or 100 years in the future.
